NEVER THIRST AGAIN

Romans 15:13 TPT Now may God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super abundance until you radiate with hope!

WOW! This scripture felt like a dam being broken open into my spirit when I read it.

God, THE FOUNTAIN OF HOPE. What fountain are you drinking from?

When we get our needs met in God, when we go to His fountains to get refreshed and satisfied, we receive something that last, something that activates LIFE within us. LIVING WATER.

I LOVE WATER! So many people have a hard time drinking water, but I LOVE WATER. Why do I love water so much? Well, one of the reasons is because when I drink water, it quenches my thirst. When I drink sweet tea, gatorade, kool aid, lemonade, or anything else, I’m ALWAYS still thirsty after.

When we drink from any fountain other than the FOUNTAINS OF GOD, we are still thirsty. We need LIVING WATER to never thirst again as Jesus stated in John 4:14

So, I want to present this question to you: where are you drinking from? Man or God?

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:3, “I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you are still of the flesh.”

He is referring to those who haven’t increased. Those who are adults on the outside, but spiritually are still infants drinking milk.

Infants start out drinking milk, then progress to baby food, then on to eating solid food. They come off the milk, and as their body and digestive system grows, they can handle more and more. We as Christians should do the same in our spiritual growth. However, it is important that after we turn 18 spiritually, we do just as Eli instructed Samuel to do, and talk to God for ourselves. You should graduate from relying on man to give you the word of the Lord for your life. There comes a times in your spiritual growth that man should take a back seat.

Have you become an adult in the spirit, or are you still drinking milk?

I remember when I really started pursuing the Lord for myself, I asked the Lord to reveal to me in a dream how old I was in the spirit. I would encourage you to do the same. It’s very eye opening, and helps you determine where you are spiritually and how to grow.

God will use man to help feed you, but there should be a point in your spiritual growth when you replace man with God because you are old enough to hear God for yourself. At that point the word of man will become a confirmation to what God already told you.

Let’s grow spiritually, and drink of the FOUNTAINS OF GOD so that we will never thirst again, and HOPE can burst forth within us releasing a CONTINUAL JOY. Romans 12:12
